Terms of Service
These terms govern use of Map Zena APIs, map infrastructure, and related services.
Acceptance
By using Map Zena services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
License to use the API
Subject to these terms and applicable limits, we grant a non-exclusive, revocable license to call Map Zena endpoints for your own applications and services.
Acceptable use
- Do not abuse infrastructure through bot floods, bypass attempts, or credential stuffing.
- Do not resell raw API access keys as a standalone competing service.
- Do not use Map Zena to build unauthorized surveillance systems targeting individuals.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer or exfiltrate internal datasets beyond normal API responses.
Rate limits and enforcement
Anonymous usage is limited to 500 requests per day. Usage beyond the free daily allowance requires a registered API key with available account credit. If limits are exceeded, responses may return HTTP 429. Repeated abuse may result in throttling, suspension, or key revocation.
Billing and credits
- Usage above the free allowance is billed at $0.50 per 1,000 queries ($0.0005 per query).
- Overage usage requires account registration with a name, email, and password.
- Usage charges are deducted from prepaid account credit.
- Payments are final unless explicitly refunded by us in writing.
Attribution and map licensing
If your output uses map layers requiring attribution, you must provide attribution in your user-facing interface according to the relevant open-data license terms.
Service availability
Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Map Zena is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from service use or inability to use the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
